The 1960's tiles back at home on the stairsThis photo looking up the stairs from the ground floor shows the positioning of the tiles.
Having been painstakingly removed from the old building prior to demolition and kept in storage for the last 19 months they are now finding a new home. The reflections are beautiful...This photo is taken from the deck looking north toward the Town Hall. One can see through the Link but the reflection of the Town Hall gives almost two images in one.
The week ending the 29th JuneStanding on the Link looking into the Library Reading Room, the structure of the polycarbonate "sail" is reminiscent of the spine of a wooden boat - very Williamstown!
The week ending 15th JuneThe hydronic heating coils are grouped into zones. The square boxes are a combination of vents or power and data floorboxes.

The week ending 8th June
Great progress has been made on the south deck which wraps around the building. Special attention to the works in the vicinity of the tree means that everything will need to be carried out by hand!
Work will commence soon on the north deck and ramp. The north deck will also hide the enormous tank underneath. The tank is one of the key ESD features of the library that will harvest rain from the roof of the library.

The view south to the golden elm
View of the golden elm. Looking south to Ferguson St.
The golden elm has provided a glorious view from within the Library. As autumn passed and winter approached, the construction workers have been treated to shades of lime green through to faded gold. Whilst the full height windows give all year round views of the tree, the deck that wraps around the library will provide a lovely shady spot in summer to enjoy the golden elm outdoors.
